The Hiwatt Custom Tube Amp features the classic Class A design. The amplifier has three 12AX7 preamp tubes for immense gain, Master Volume control, individual gain, Bass, Mid and Treble controls in special design tone network (Setting all tone controls fully anti-clockwise gives no output, dial in exact tone you want, like having three extra volume controls at different frequencies). High and low sensitivity inputs. No FX loops or Dls or other interruptions from your guitar to those sweet sustaining tubes. Powerful enough to drive a 4x12 cabinet, power section includes 2 EL-84 power tubes, for a linear, clear tone that will satisfy even the harshest of tube amp critics! Fitted in a 2x10" speaker enclosure using two special design Fane 75 watt 10" loudspeakers rated at 8 Ohms, nicely tuned for this 20-watt amp. 4, 8 and 16 Ohm impedance selector guarantees compatibility with alternate or additional speaker enclosures. A powerful amplifier solution for playing at room level, in a compact and rugged design.
Boasting the classic design that brought Hiwatt to the forefront of amplification, the Classic Series guitar amps feature the point-to-point, military specific design based on Dave Reeves' original amplifiers. Hiwatt Custom amplifiers use only the best quality components, including hand-wound Partridge transformers and marine birch hand-built cabinets.
