WHAT HANK SAYS!
"Some guitarists think of the USA as the only source of quality electric guitars, and for the most part they are correct. However, there are many of us who remember the superb range of guitars designed and made by BURNS GUITARS, a British company.

Way back in 1963, Jim Burns, the founder of the Company, worked closely with myself and Bruce Welch of The Shadows to design a guitar which would have the style, sound, and playability we required. Together we developed the 'BURNS MARVIN' a fine guitar, which I played on record, stage and screen from 1964 thru to 1970 when, unfortunately, my guitars were stolen, never to be seen again, well not by me!

I am delighted that BURNS GUITARS are still in the business of making quality instruments, and in particular the new 'BURNS MARVIN.'

Playing this new "Marvin" brings back a host of memories; such as the recording of "The Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt", together with many other Shadows tracks I recorded with my BURNS.

The new "BURNS MARVIN" plays superbly and I am very happy to be the proud owner of one of these fine guitars, it plays and sounds as good as my original.

Fender - 50th Anniversary Jaguar Lake Placid Blue

Price: R.R.P. $2,799.00
Our special price: $2,599.00

Fender's 50th Anniversary Jaguar guitar takes you back to 1962, when they introduced an unusual new guitar that paired the sleek Jazzmaster® body style and elaborate control layout with a shorter scale and smaller, brighter pickups with more output. The resulting Jaguar was the fourth and last of Fender’s original lineup of standard electric guitars. Perfectly matched to the early-’60s renaissance in design modernism, the Jaguar gradually acquired a fascinating pedigree quite unlike that of any other Fender guitar. A chromed-out, surf-rock staple of the 1960s, it found new life from the mid-1970s-on as a subversively offbeat alternative axe wielded by punk, post-punk, grunge and alt-indie guitar heroes and anti-heroes alike. The U.S.-built 50th Anniversary Jaguar celebrates that vivid history and combines old and new into the finest of all Jaguar guitars. Highly distinctive features include the classic 24” scale length, a new one-degree neck-angle-pocket cut that improves pitch, a re-positioned tremolo plate that increases bridge break angle and sustain, and specially designed hot Jaguar single-coil neck and bridge pickups that deliver fatter tone and more output (once again framed by the model’s classic notched metal “claws”; a hum-reducing innovation only found on the Jaguar). Accessories include a deluxe brown case, strap, cable and a set of flatwound strings.

Fender 1 of 250 - FSR Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster

Price: R.R.P. $1,999.00
Our special price: $1,599.00

Rosewood fretboard (wine red stain) in stock now! Altering a classic in any way is always a risk but Fender has done the American Standard Stratocaster proud with this new tasteful take on the legend. Not altering the guitar too much, the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster features an ash body with a hand-rubbed stain covered by a protective satin-lacquer topcoat. Part of their FSR Series, this model is limited to just 250 globally.

Other than the beautiful body wood choice, hand-rubbed stain and Mahogany Stain finish, the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster retains everything that has made it a classic.

Striding out from the Fender American Standard Stratocaster Hand Stained Ash’s body is a maple neck, strengthened by the Bi-Flex Truss Rod System and carved to Fender’s fantastically comfortable Modern "C" shape. Furthermore the back of the neck features a satin finish to further aid fast playing. Topping this is a 22 medium-jumbo fret maple fingerboard with a radius of 9.5".

Just as any self-respecting Strat, the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster features three single-coil pickups. These are set in the neck, middle and bridge positions, with a five-way switchblade giving you easy pickup selection. The three pickups offer classic Strat tone: thin sound from the bridge, warmth from the neck and everything in-between, with the flick of a switch

Control of the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster’s output is supplied by a master volume knob and two No-Load Tone knobs (one for the neck pickup & one for the bridge and middle pickups).

The Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Stratocaster comes complete with a Fender/SKB Case, cable, strap & polishing cloth.
