Sold! - 1980 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe

Beautiful '80 Les Paul Deluxe in very, very nice condition - easily 8.5/10 aside from minor belt buckle rash on the back. This is one of the first "non-pancake" bodies, with a solid mahogany back and top-bound carved maple top, 3-piece maple neck and "big" headstock. Very attractive high gloss Nitro finish with only minimal checking - 9/10 Les Paul's from this era will have dulled significantly, but this one has retained a beautiful gloss over the transparent wine red finish. The chrome hardware is also in fantastic original condition, with absolutely minimal wear and no oxidation. The guitar is all original with no breaks, mods, over spray or changed parts. Frets have been dressed leaving them low, but still very playable
Buyer will not be disappointed with this exceptional condition, all original "modern vintage" Les Paul. Included is the original black Gibson hardshell case (also in very good condition).

Fender kicked the 5E3 Deluxe platform up a notch by using a Celestion® Alnico Blue speaker in a new custom-designed Maple cabinet with knurled '57 logo knobs, solid aluminum handle and custom hardware. This example is in fantastic condition. Incredibly hard to find (and in this condition) with only limited amounts of the Tele "Revival" guitars being produced (compared to Strat's, Les Paul's).
