Sold! - 1965 Gibson Melody Maker

Now, this is a serious rock and roll guitar. This Melody Maker has had a long and eventful life in the hands of a prominent Perth muso and collector. The '65 was a special year for the Melody Maker, where it adopted the slim, double cutaway body - as made famous by Joan Jett. The guitar has been re-finished in a gloss white which replicates the look of Joan's guitar - and the hardware replaced with a more modern bridge for better intonation. A Seymour Duncan JB humbucker provides plenty of grit, but a coil tap has also been fitted for sweeter tones. Not an original museum but a great playing vintage guitar with heaps of mojo! Includes road case.
