A near perfect example of an 'L Series' Stratocaster. Some of the most sought after guitars ever produced by Fender came from the period 1963-65 and are known as 'L Series' guitars due to their serial number prefix. This gorgeous guitar is a players and collectors dream, in the classic colour combination of Sunburst/Rosewood. The guitar is in fantastic condition, including original pickups, pots & wiring, Kluson machine heads and original 1965 Fender hardshell case. The guitar was refinished approximately 20 years ago, and has nicely aged to a beautiful dull gloss. The 3-way switch has been replaced with a 5-way at some point, as has the tremolo block & plate (but retains the original saddles). This Strat is an absolute pleasure to play, with minimal wear on the neck and frets. The definition of awesome 'strat' tone!
